RS2 at auction without reserve, member car?
Discussion
Visting the Spa classic weekend and saw a few interesting cars at the Bonhams sale. A UK registered RS2 in polar silver.
Is the owner lurking here, I may be interested to get a bid in!

Doesn't appear to be UK registered; perhaps brought over solely to sell?
As a very low mileage LHD car I wouldn't be surprised if it gets squirrelled away ready to become 25 years old.
I was offered a reasonably good RHD UK car just over a year ago for about £15k. Guess who feels silly for saying no?

Oh dear, you should have taken it that would have been a super cheap price even if it needed some work, but you know that anyway..As a very low mileage LHD car I wouldn't be surprised if it gets squirrelled away ready to become 25 years old.

Yes it's UK registered.
I've been speaking to Bonhams and apparently they found it hiding in a corner when they went to take an e type and a Quattro off the owner. Those two cars were found by someone else! So I assume the actually owner doesn't know the true value?
It may still be out of my budget by far.

I couldn't see a reg attached to that chassis number anywhere. Hence assuming it may only just have been registered.phumy said:

My thinking was throw 5k at it (because RS2) and it's worth 25.Didn't have 20 grand of my own spare and boss thought it would eat too many hours and be a warranty headache. I hope it went to someone that actually wanted to use it.
