Had a bit of a nightmare the other day, driving to Goodwood with the little one (17 months) we were stuck in traffic and she kicked the door opener with her foot (masive panic as the window started to go down and the door popped open, luck would have it we were far enough away from the side of the road it didn't hit anything), now my doors do lock then the car is moving but they unlock after a few seconds of stopping, you can hit the lock button in the car but as soon as you move and come to a stop again it unlocks.

Anyone know of a solution?

Sounds like your doors are working as intended, which is a rarity in itself smile

You've got to be able to get out somehow.

You could always abandon the buttons on the door and put a button somewhere a little more inaccessible, I suppose.

Or swap them out for something a little harder to accidentally press, like a pull switch or double press buttons ?

From the TVR Cerbera Alternative Parts List, the door catch is from an Astra so has a child lock which you maybe able to activate (*not tried this but it is discussed here)

Else, as the internal switch is electrical, you could put a switch in-line in the wire which could be activated / deactivated from your side of the car

could you get a guard so it couldn't be accidentally knocked, like a small plastic tube you need to put your finger down?
