Help, Driver side door needed for my 84 280i coupe.

Someone on the Facebook "TVR Wedges" or "TVR Sell & Buy" pages was loking to offload some doors and other Wedge kit the other day.

Suggest that you do a quick search for TVR Groups and join up.

I have a UK passenger side door for a DHC....There is no glass though......

I think the door it's self is the same as the DH but the window frame is different for sure as the DH has no frame.

I am assuming I can use the window frame and glass from my door. Are there any other mods I would need to make?

I have both types off doors for DH or FHC plus I am sending some TVR parts and a car to the USA in the next couple of months so could help there with transport costs.

Can you provide a picture of the door where the latch goes. Mine is different. I have what appears to be support catch above and below the door latch.
I have attached a picture.

Hi Millard

The door lock system on your door is one of the extra system employed on American cars which is different to UK door locking system.

This is the best pic I have of my spare door at present.



The pic below shows the UK standard door lock system. (My 280i FHC .when under restoration.)



I am certain your locking system can be retrofitted to our doors.
