When's The 992 Due??
Discussion
Just trying to decide on my car ownership direction for the next couple of years, so am keen to get an idea of when the 992 is likely to be open for ordering??
Seen a few spy shots & most say MY19/20 which would indicate launch between Spring 18 or 19. Is this a fair assumption or is anyone aware of a more accurate date for launch of the 992?
Also, is the Turbo S usually included in the launch line up or just the Turbo? I'm pretty sure the GT's normally arrive quite a while after launch, but not sure if that includes the Turbo S?

991 was launched in Autumn 2011 and the Turbo arrived a year later - the Turbo S was available at the same time as the Turbo, unlike previous iterations when it was a later version.
The next 911 Turbo will be interesting as it will probably shift to the new engine design. The 991.2 Turbo is a revised 991.1 Turbo - obviously unlike the cars below it in the range which have shifted to the all-new 3.0 litre engine (and gained turbocharging)
I remember at the 991 launch event they were saying they were hoping to get two facelifts out of this platform as it was such a massive revision from 996/997.
Even although we already have the 982 Cayman/Boxster I think they went for the early change from 981 to emphasise the launch of the 718 brand and the shift to 4 cylinders, so am not sure that means '992' will be any time soon.
