London City Airport are going to close their on-site control tower in 2019 and move to virtual model - cameras at the airport relaying images to controllers in Swanwick instead.

I just saw a report on this on BBBC breakfast and I thought "why not". They seem to have everything covered safety wise and from, a staff point of view, it's got to be better as far as commuting and living housing expenses go?
