Yep it's like the African Plains out there. Stay strong people.
We're only talking about the probability of a hosepipe ban for the summer. Hardly a big deal is itAre you one of those posters when a storm comes but doesn't takes a pic and posts up of a plastic chair on its side
We had 33mm of rain on Wednesday and Thursday. In the previous 10 and a half months we had 9 and a half inches of rain. This years crops are pretty much knackered. I would expect that the ground water stocks are still very low, 33mm just won't be enough to replenish them after such a prolonged dry spell.
Bang to rights

Since the glorious summer of 1976 I have heard the water companies cry 'never again will we be caught short' .
Bag'os
te, shareholders come first.
I think the Greenies have had a say too. We all have to economise on water usage due to global warming so to 'encourage' us the Government won't allow reservoirs to be built. Bag'os

9 and a half inches, you expect us to believe that
Why do you then go all metric so we can't compare numbers. Do you work in marketing for a utility company?Gassing Station | The Lounge | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
