Hi all,

Seriously tempted by the 3.5 hybrid, second hand. I've had a brief try in a 2.2 diesel which was ok, but too slow. I'm guessing the 3.5 would resolve that. They seem to be exceptionally good value at 12-18 months old compared to the equivalent 3/A4/C. Does anyone have any experiences or advice?

Thanks in advance.

I considered a hybrid Q50 last year, test drive was good, very quick, and interior was nice, and they are a good looking and rare car on the roads.

If you go for the sport tech pack it brings the auto lane departure and self drive. The fly by wire steering has received some criticism but for everyday driving you wouldnt notice any difference after the initial getting used to it i doubt.

In the end i went for a Lexus IS hybrid, not as quick but fast enough, better interior and considerably lower company car tax (which was the main reason due to the higher emissions of the Q50)

Q50 has a lot going for it, great engine, good looks, and a proper auto gearbox. Have a read of the q50 forum for owner reviews,

Thanks ST270. I'm looking at the Lexus as well later this week. It's not a company car so the BIK isn't important. Appreciate the feedback, and I'll have a look at the forum too.

My father has the 2.0 petrol and absolutely adores it. It's a bit more plush inside than the A4/C of a similar vintage with leather everywhere. The two screen infotainment system can be a bit slow with touch screen but it's got a little controller in the middle to compensate. They are also excellent value, as long as you aren't buying it in the hope of trading it in a year from now.

Thanks everyone for the replies. Contrary to my original post, I've put a deposit on a 2.2d today. test drove again on Saturday with my gf (it will be her car primarily) and she loved it!
