thought this would be of interest, got an early 350i been stood for many years going to recommission it ,first task unstick the seized and stuck clutch so engine and box out then split, this took best part of 2 hours as the first motion shaft was seized very firmly in the driven plate but all apart now, clean up and rebuild next including engine bay needs a bit of a refresh.

back on the wedge pressure washed all the engine and gearbox also pressure washed and degreased the engine bay and chassis looking a lot better sorted the new studs on the manifolds ready for reinstalling next week.

Chassis looks like it needs a bit of paint here & there. Remarkable for a 30 yr old though. yes

chassis is getting a bit of tlc but is very sound no mods just recommision

just a little update got the chassis painted several coats high build primer then chassis silver dosent look to bad then fitted new rear main oil seal, flywheel and built up the clutch and refitted the exhaust manifolds with there new studs ready for fitting the gearbox and engine today/tomorrow.

more done later in the week engine and gearbox in with the new clutch exhausts all connected and the big bits fitted to the engine plus made new brackets for the rad fans and the rad fixing brackets got to mod the bottom hose on the rad to allow easy attachment of the bottom hose,plus ran the new fuel lines and connected to the fuel rail.

more done on the wedge rads in hoses made and fitted wiring resheathed and the engine is up and together havent got any sparks at the moment so need to sort that next week but gearstick back in and centre console back in place slave cylinder fitted so basically back together still needs a screen and the front dam fitting but get it running first

Nice work the Edge shape has been sort of growing on me. The more I see them the I think Hmmmmmm!
