Saw Maiden for the first time last night. Considering these guys range from 58 years to 64 years old, it was an incredible show and I feel bad for doubting if they'd be able to carry the energy from the younger days 
Fantastic show with a few songs from the new album but a few classics such as Fear of the dark, Number of the beast and Wasted years thrown in. Eddie was awesome as always and the support act (Shinedown) were a great opener.
Good age range from some younger kids all the way to to couples in their 80s. You could tell the average age as it is the first time I've seen a longer queue at the Male toilets than the female toilets

I saw them in Manchester and Aberdeen - two great shows, the Aberdeen one was done the night after a gig in Glasgow whereas the Manchester one had a rest day before it so Bruce dropped a few of the screams/wails etc on the Aberdeen night in favour of a bit of crowd participation, but at 58 (?) he's still doing really well.
I saw them at Download Festival last year too, same stage set up barring a couple of different back drops and a few songs swapped about.

I couldn't agree more with the OP, saw them in Newcastle and the performance and vibe were fantastic. It's a nice change for me as many of my favourite bands are now at a point where I don't even want to see them performing live as it would ruin my memories. The crowd didn't disappoint either.
I've recently seen Yes and Howe's guitar was almost painful to listen to in few songs, in contrast the ARW were fantastic, Anderson and Wakeman still have it. And after watching one recent performance of Fish on youtube I decided to skip his farewell tour this year and dig out some of my old vinyls instead. There goes another childhood hero...

Not long back from the o2 and another night to remember. Third time I've seen them and it was brilliant!
First time was back in 06 at earls court 3 days before Christmas and the power went out mid set. Nicko popped back with a cup of tea in his dressing gown to have a chat and Bruce got the crowd singing Christmas songs through a megaphone. Second time in 2011 I caught a drumstick.

Saw them for the 6th time on Saturday at the O2. Was an utterly stunning set and their material from their new album blends in perfectly with some of their classics.
Also played a couple of my favourite tracks I've not seen them played live such as Powerslave, utterly epic!
I'd put Maiden up there as one if not the best live band I've seen. Metallica are superb as are AC/DC but Iron Maiden always make a show feel unique.

Went to Manchester a few weeks back, great performance I agree. I only bought tickets that day as I saw them in 08 and thought they were going through the motions. Enjoyed Shinedown too.

Early Marillion are my favourites and I have to agree regarding Fish. Such a shame, however he is doing one last album and tour, the farewell gig was farewell to Misplaced Childhood. Next year he is planning on doing Clutching so i might, just might see him if he's local enough.
