A lovely afternoon.

Arr a pleasant couple of hours. The back lanes are drying out so I managed to get a nice dust plum from the back of the car.
Until I stopped that is. Then the plume enveloped me.


A lazy short walk with the old dog out in the hazy sunshine that was nicely rounded off by a private air display as one of the local Jags was practising some cool manoeuvres. I especially liked the slow vertical climb and I’m sure he did a roll just for me.
A shame the anoraks standing around at the end of the runway did not get such a good view as I did.

Anybody else had a good day.?

I did! Thanks for asking! Snooker this morning, jammin' this afternoon, neighbours away, so I cranked it! Then down the pub to watch the cars go by and drink beer.

bit of a plane anorak myself. Enjoy a spirited drive to watch those with more talent and skill than myself. Where is a good place to catch this action, and is it every day?

Sadly no. Something of a swan song I’m afraid.
The station is RAF Coltishall and it’s is due to close soon.
I expect I was lucky to catch a practice for some sort of ceremony. There has been a few lately as some of the Jag squadrons are wound up.
Shame really as a youngster I would go and watch the Lightning’s landing.
