Doors and windows packed up!

The door release buttons have been playing up over the last few weeks, first the drivers side then passenger. Last weekend I got locked in the car as the release buttons stopped totally inside and out, and the boot too. This fixed itself as soon as I pulled the emergency handle and all was well.

Today as I pulled in to get some petrol exactly the same thing happened. I remembered I'd read that if you disconnect the control box in the boot for a few seconds it will reset itself so I decided to give that a go. Since then I have had no response from any of the door buttons, the boot or the windows. The green internal lock button is also permanently illuminated. The windows have always worked before, even when the doors haven't.

Any ideas?

This happened to me a couple of months ago. Sadly it probably means the control box is on its way out. If you're a dab hand with a soldering iron, you may be able to spot the breaks in the track on the PCB, or your dealer may be able to do it for you. If not, then it's new box time - ridiculously expensive from TVR considering it's a bunch of cheap components in an RS box! Best to try and get it repaired.

if you are pulling the plug off the control box best to leave it off for 15 mins rather than a few seconds.
