Is this a thing in this country?

Seems unlikely...

It could be, has to be pretty hot though. I noticed tarmac melting today, not sure I want to put my bare toddies on it.

Yes it definitely does happen. We see a few every year that need treatment.

Hot sand on a beach does it as well.

And the sort of weather we have had the last couple of days will do it.

Has a period of ill health a few years ago spend a month in Spain it was reaching 32degrees.

Tried to get Logan to walk on grass etc instead of pavement he wouldn't.

Thankfully never had this issue are all dogs pads the same or some more prone than others.

Just one other thing to watch out for which does get a lot hotter. This nearly caught me out once its metal road plates sometimes used in road works and on pavements although they shouldn't.

We just bought some of this stuff for our dog. Seems pretty good and it goes on without much fuss.

5 second rule isn't it? If you can't hold the back of your hand on the pavement for 5 sec's then it's too hot for your dog to walk on.
