A lorry driver just told me some new drivers hours rules come into force next week.
Is that good news for drivers or bad?

AFAIK its the Working Time Directive. Makes no odds to me - I`m a freelancer, but has seriously screwed it for guys who are PAYE. No Overtime!

It's the European working time directive, no more than 48 hours a week. It suits me, the agency I work for have had to up their wages to stop us all going somewhere else. I feel for the poor buggers who have an hourly wage, and a boss that will use every trick in the book to keep them at it.

Long time coming. Now all we need to do, is fight for a fair wage.
