HUD on an A6

Anyone able to comment on the quality (or otherwise) of the HUD system on an A6? I am wondering whether it is worth bothering with and would appreciate any views of those who have.

Drove a C7 RS6 with it last summer and thought it was excellent (as in you barely noticed it unless you were looking for it, at which point it was easy to read)

I only had 20 mins messing about in a braking/ABS test environment but it was certainly part of a package I'd probably look to spec with ACC if I was in a position to buy

Thanks, I think it would be worth having the speed warning which means ACC, so it's a expensive option when wrapped up with driving assistance pack. I like HUD but the Audi system as fitted to A6 looks cumbersome and looks like a bit of an afterthought, I've heard folk complaining of rattles and just wondered if it's now sorted.
