I've been looking into the Mercedes CLK GTR recently, and discovered something rather contradictory when researching the SuperSports variant.

Some sources claim that the car's 7.3L V12 produces 655bhp, and some say it produces 711bhp. But who's right? Can someone demystify this for me please?

Thanks a million smile

The 1999 CLK GTR Super Sport model is 655bhp. Mental car.

Perhaps the difference between the power outputs are between the road version (V12) and race version (V8).

Either way, low engine power and no mud flaps or footwell mats should be keen bargening points... biggrin

I know. Listen to the noise the gear box makes. I bet it's a right animal to drive as well. So much want for this car. Would rather have this than a F1 I think. Would be a nice choice to have

There was one for sale this year at Retromobile. Talking to the dealer, he was hoping of offers around €2M
