Evening chaps,

Had a message from my parents this evening saying they had an odd note put through their letterbox sometime this morning, unfortunately didn't see who posted it.

Anyone heard or seen something similar before? I suspect something sinister but it might just be someone trying to get their own back on another? I've told them to ask around other neighbours and possibly let police know. Odd thing to happen even for a small West Country village! (Parents house is no. 9 so the neighbour in question is a few doors down)

Any advice much appreciated.

Sounds like someone has a personal issue.

Must have been sleeping with her before getting dumped.

Probably the most dangerous thing is the notes poor use of spelling and grammar.

Some kind of viral marketing campaign for the local fun house?

If your parents have had no prior dealings or evidence of wrong-doing by the occupants of no.17 that would deter them from doing so, then I'd be straight over there to give them a heads-up and show them the message.

PH might require some photos of said neighbour before she's burned at the stake.

At least you know where you can get a quick and cheap shag prior to a Sunday lunch at the parents house.

yes

Looks like the sort of note a disinherited PHer would type after finding their dad is banging Doris at number 17 and has written them out of the will.

Pop round and say hello, just watch out for defrosting meat products in the front garden

That seems to happen a lot these days. I know a guy who moved into a property and within days he had a note through the door telling him the previous owner had rats in the loft.

Which he dismissed because it had a roof space conversion years ago.

I'd try and find out who it was and then post it back with corrections to the grammar and spelling rofl

Or with a court summons for libel (assuming it's malicious and not actually true). Should make for some fun and games gossip down the local pub.

Ignore it, just a bitter person with an issue they couldn't resolve. Maybe they're the real problem. Go say hello to the new neighbours and form your own opinion.

Looks to me like a typical Neighbour Watch alert message.
