Small bicycles for campervan

I've been looking for a couple of cycles capable of casual town and trail use, but compact enough to tuck away in the campervan. Folding bikes seemed a good option, but are still bulky in their own way. Any other compact options, chaps?

I would've thought the question should be what campervan can carry a bike inside comfortably? This is the question I was about to post? My T5 is a bit of a squeeze when I go away with Mrs B and junior B who likes to race. We've just got back from Lancaster after doing 3 days of racing with 2 bikes, spare wheels etc and it was all a bit too cosey. I'm thinking about buying a Sprinter or Crafter and making a sort of race truck.

What sort of camper do you have? If you must keep a bike inside a VW then its a folder or a bmx really?!

I have a Fiat Ducato.

I just have a three bike rack mounted on the tow bar.

As there are four of us and the kids bikes are getting bike, might get the wife a fold up ebike, solves two problems in one go!

It's a home-converted Renault Master, but was looking for something that can be taken away without getting in the way. Towbar mount / BMX is worth pursuing, thanks.

Brompton is the default answer if folder. I also have a Halfords Apollo Tuck folder @ around £200. 90% as good. 20% of the price. Slightly bigger wheels for trails etc. A cheap bike so no worries about leaving out & about.
