Anyone know the contact details of this company if they are still going?
Failing that any ideas for any similar stuff.
Thanks
Pete.

Not trading any more.
Tried and failed to find anything that came close.
Great loss to fibreglass wheel arches.

This may just have been posturing from someone trying to sell a rival product, but a chap on the NFAuto stand at Stafford said it was just a roofing product that Carlife slapped some different labels on before flogging it for more money.

NF Auto's alternative is Wunderseal

Interesting. Remember seeing a rubber based paint for sealing flat roofs advertised some years back and wondered if it would do the same job. Might be worth a visit to the builder's merchants.

Let us know if you find it cos I tried all my local builders merchants and even bought some small cans. I'm sure the comment about relabelling has some truth its just finding which product. May be something more exotic like sealing rusty water tanks or waterproofing cellers.

Jewsons do a mastic flat roof repair product.

It has some fiber re-enforcing and can be painted on. (Used it to repair my roof! ) Seemed to set softer than unerseal though.

Will give more details when I find the tin.

A friend of mine finally found a supplier for rubber-cote!
I presume it's the same stuff, it certainly looks like it. The only down side is that you have to order in 4l tubs...

That stuff is a two part product and not the original Rubbercoat from Carlife.

You need to go to the manufacturers of the original stuff:

CARLIFE
West Brook Works
140 Thornton Road
BRADFORD
BD1 2DX
TEL: 01943870148

Wish I'd known about Rubber-Cote when I was needing to repair a fuel line to get me to my mechanic. I couldn't find any info anywhere on a product that claimed to be resistant to petrol.

In the end I used self-amalgamating tape and hoped it would hold for the 30-odd miles I needed to go. It did.

we use similar stuff to that rubber-cote to seal aircraft fuel tanks, except we pay £25 for a 500ml tin!
a friend of mine used it all over his mini floor, inside and out,the MOT man was never happy, as he couldn't tell if the car was rusty or not!

Surely that's why he did it?
