When warranty expires should i go indy for service

I have a 2013 RRS which doesn't do huge mileage. In July i'll of owned it for two years and covered 8k miles bringing the total to 30k. Its still under extended warranty until July 2017.
Since the last service its covered 5k miles and the service cost is £698+vat which includes oil, oil filter, plug drain, fuel filter, air filter, pollen filter.
Now I don't intend to extend the warranty with LR and I have been quoted £240 by a mechanic all in and using genuine parts. I notice he didnt say genuine LR parts but id confirm prior.
I cant see it being worth £500 to have a LR stamp in the book? Although I am toying with selling the car.

Depends.... if you are intending to sell it, I would be more inclined to pay the LR prices for that stamp, especially if you are going to sell privately because you could easily loose the £500 in sale value, perhaps less so if trading it in for something else. But if it is a keeper and the indy has a good reputation and you trust them, then maybe forfeit the dealer stamp.

Basic service, check and stamp from dealers up to 5 years, with actual work done by a specialist after the waranty has expired.
Then after 5 years, drop the dealer and have a 'branded' specialist do everything including the servicing.
Dealers forget how to sort out older models as soon as they get past warranty timelines, a decent brand specialist then supports them for ever after and get to know all the quirks and short cuts to keep the car in tip top condition as weird problems start to appear with an aging model.
