1.9 PD105 Thud noise on pulling away - Dogbone Engine Mount?
Discussion
Quick question.
Just got a manual Fabia with a 1.9pd engine. Drives very nicely, apart from a 'thud' noise that seems to manifest itself when you lift the clutch up pulling away in first or when you change quickly to second (again when lifting the clutch up). If you make a conscious effort to smooth the change there is no noise and the noise doesn't happen on every change, it seems to be just when there is a big transfer of load over a short time. I've heard a failing DMF and this doesn't really sound like that, it's a single thud the moment drive is taken up.
I've done a bit of reading and come to the conclusion this could be the dogbone engine mount - Is it worthwhile getting a new one to try or are there other possibilities I should look at first? Also, if I do replace it, I assume the bolts that hold it in are single-use and I need to buy replacements?
Thanks in advance.
