I have just placed an order for a couple of cheapie recon HMT watches. I think with the right leather strap they'll make for a fairly classy looking dress watch, considering the tiny £8 I paid for each of them laugh

Anyone got one, and if so, post pics! Pics of mine to follow when they arrive.

I have a few - sorry no pictures to hand other than a slightly crappy one.

Change the cheapo strap for a nicer leather one and they do look classy and with a "sweeping" hand, a lot of people into thinking they are far more expensive then they are. Plus of the 5 HMTs I own - the majority keep pretty decent time.

Happy wearing.

I have an ever growing collection of watches and none of them are particularly expensive (although I have an itch for a Speedy so Dom can expect a call later in the summer!)

Anyway, here's my cheap but elegant manual wind HMT. It's worth nothing but I like it.

Here is mine... It's not bad for an £7 watch. I think HMT are going to stop producing mechanical watches soon, they might have already!

Holy thread revival, here is my HMT Janata, going through photographing my collection...there is alot of noise in regards to these HMT's now...they did cease production in 2016 I am led to believe, fantastic looking pieces though imo, very underrated.

I have two! Rarely wear them but I really like the designs. Both were bought for around £7 laugh

Another of my HMT's - My refurbished Sona, utterly gorgeous in my eyes, it photographs well...
