Where are all the bucket seats?
Discussion
If I was able to afford a GT3 I wouldn't have specked buckets for one simple reason. My garage is so narrow I can hardly open my door and there's no way I'd get in or out of a bucket, so of no use to me. I don't get this idea that one spec may suit one buyer, so has to be perfect for everyone else, whether it's what they want or not.

the buckets are little different to get in and out of to regular seats ...I think the post was more saying there will be a few who have certain reasons not to get buckets in a GT3 but given its a track orientated car they were expecting that % to be a lot lower than what they are observing - case in point you would only not spec buckets as you have a narrow garage , but there is some correlation between people who want to spend that kid of money on a car and having a double garage (GT car contango distortions aside

Yep, thought when typing that if I could afford a GT3, I probably would have a bigger garage too! Tried a Cayman R with buckets and knew they would be an issue, so my 981CS has sports+ seats which I'm quite happy with. Perfectly good enough for the B4391 we drove today. :-)
my 991 GT3 has buckets / cage / ceramics - I too can't see the point of comfort seats - I'd also be surprised if they are harder to get out of in a narrow garage than comforts.
drove it for the first time in a couple of months today - damn I'd forgotten how good it was !
A1 was closed so I was forced into some backroad thrashing
just ticked over 30K miles too -even better !

My 991 GT3 has (folding) buckets / no cage / ceramics. The buckets are so good (and comfortable) that I'd definitely get buckets again, even on a Turbo, for example.drove it for the first time in a couple of months today - damn I'd forgotten how good it was !

I have owned a few Porsches now. My conclusion is that the standard seats are comfortable. The sports seats are not comfortable or supportive because I feel they push my shoulders forwards. I feel like I am sitting on them rather than in them. Oddly the buckets are very comfortable. ???
