just wondering how many others have had a better than what it should have been, deal with a dealer.im feeling very smug as ive just noticed that my old tuscan has now been reduced further in price and as such the dealer wont have made anything on the back to front deal he did with me,quite literally £0.its made all the more sweet as it took a week of my persuasion and i had to create a demand for the car i was selling him by getting the wife to call him and ask if he had any for sale.he didnt have a tuscan at the time and didnt really want to part with the griff for it due to it being december.theres a certain element of great satisfaction in this for me as the dealer in question seriously neglected to service the car i bought from him properly(they do cheap servicing though) and lied about certain things to do with the deal.anyone else had one over on a dealer?there must be some great stories out there.

Yes but common sense would indicate that its mainly the dealer who screws the customer (in my experience anyway), so well done to the original poster.

you have to remember that the price he gives you for your p/x is not the price it stands in his books at. i.e dealer values your car at 5k but gives you 6k for it. he can then sell it for 6k and make 1k profit. peter

Yep got the better of the dealer when I bought my last two cars. (I know what my car is worth and the profit margin)

So much so that warranty stuff has to go to another dealer..

If you know what your doing (sold cars at a main dealer for 7 years) you can appeal to a dealers greed and leave much better off.
