New side indicators and a spotted

Had two pints of cider and for some reason I decided to fit my new smoked side indicators. I tried to tackle them before but gave up trying to remove the old ones.

Off I go to the garage to remove them. I wrapped a polishing cloth around the screwdriver because if you slip getting these out you will really mess up the panel as you have to have a bit of force behind it. Finally the holding tab breaks on the indicator so I can now wiggle it out.

Great, just need to unplug the old one , plug in the new and pop back into the panel, No !

My new ones have a small spade connector and the old a large.

I had to solder a big spade on the little after cutting the plug surround down to allow the spades to fit.


I put insulating tape around the soldered connections and popped it all back in.

The results are good, especially as the car is black.

I also spotted another V8S (green) in Hitchin today, it the first time I have seen another S while out in mine, hello

It sounded very nice.

Ok , it back to the cider now.
