Hi there,

My missus, who has had a clean licence for 10 years, has just received an NIP for being clocked at 97mph, down a 70 mph stretch of the A1.

Does anyone know for certain what she'll get?

3 points and a £60 fine - 6 points or a ban? (I'm hoping they'll lock her up for a few days, to me give some peace!!!).

Educated opinions appreciated !

Thanks,

JoelK.

3 points and conditional offer is not an option here as more than 25mph over the limit.

I would say from previous experience 5 points and £150 if plead guilty by post.

She'll likely get nothing at all if she looks at www.pepipoo.com

It was at Empingham, on a national speed limit section. NIP was from Rutland Leciestershire Police.

Has anyone out there been caught at a similar spped?

Does it matter that it's only 2 mph over the + 25 mph rule?

Friend of mine got caught for 97mph on the A449 dual carriageway in Wales. She got a conditional offer of 3 points and £60. This was August 2002 though.

same here, same place, same road, aug 2002, same fine.

Apparently had it been another county though it would have been 6 points
