To be expected with the GE but I am shocked just how quiet it is.
Anyone else? A lot of our customers are reporting the same thing.

Rung round all the customers today to make sure we haven't accidentally upset anyone...

They're all saying half term followed immediately by GE is killing it, staff off, customers not ordering etc.

We've had a few slow months, but it's starting to pick up. Since the Brexit stuff it's not been ideal really, and then the GE just making it worse.

It'll come good smile

This week has certainly been quieter than the last year. phone hardly ringing, and very few leads. Customers are saying they are between jobs but i dont buy it for all of them.

Does seem quiet in the business world. Where i work is quite a niche market of manufacturing but overall business does seem very slow last two weeks. Figured after last week was school holidays but people would be back now.

Yes, it is indeed. I do work in Cambridge, Brighton and London, all three towns no action. Last three weeks, have been extremely silent. Off to overseas soon, can't handle this crap weather and weird silence hehe

Phones are down 30% on last Monday vs today so it seems to be getting worse here.
Hopefully the weather will pick up next week and that might bring people out!
On the plus side the roads have been fairly quiet!

Without giving it away, we're both in logistics I think? What's your end of things? Pallets, distribution. general? Tell me to mind my own business if you like, just curious.

We are similar to a builders merchant. So brick grabs, tipper grabs etc. Trade and public.

We deal with consumer enquiries for financial advice. Enquiry numbers have been holding up throughout the election period (April was poor, though), however the transactional intent of the consumers coming through this month has been very strong, surprisingly.

Last year there were a lot of investment enquiries held up, waiting for the outcome of the Brexit vote.
