Getting close to the halfway stage, how are we all getting on for miles and smiles?

I've bagged 1,484km (922mi) so far which is about as much as I've managed in each of the previous 2 years. I'll be chuffed with 3000-3500km for the year.

I've also got an aim of maintaining a 1.5% average gradient, and am just about on track (1.52%...) with 22,514m (73,865ft) climbed. I hate climbing, but I do like going down the other side, and am fortunate to live near some great hills for riding - on and off road.

Riding has been a split of gravel bike on firetrail and road (which is great fun) and FS MTB mostly on singletrack (which is even more fun)

I've also managed to keep up a regime of early morning rides for an hour or so - 25-30km - a couple of times a week before work, with a more substantial 2-3hour outing on the weekends, and feel much better for it. Its all a challenge with three young kids and a full-tie job, but worth it in my book. Big smile rating overall for me.

How about the rest of us??

I moved from running to cycling on 16th April and have managed 724 miles since that date - mainly road but some MTB

I'm really enjoying the fact I'm losing weight, seem to be building stamina, spending more time exercising and don't feel like my legs are broken at the end of a cycle.

The only problem I have is I can't seem to keep my feet out of the local bike shop and I seem to be spending quite a lot of money!

5000 miles nearly.

3 races entered, 2nd, 5th and puncture.

75kg at prime,

Currently 79 and unfit due to 3 weeks abroad.

Managed to stick on local CG with a few E riders, which is an achievement for me!

Did 374 for 20 minutes, 410 for 10. My target will be 400 for 20 next season, as I would like to TT a bit.

Quick total 1887 km's with another 100 scheduled for this weekend.
Lots of MTB rides which if I'm lucky is 15k/h average compared to 25k/h on the road so lots of time and effort but not much distance.

Not much spent the first three months of the year in the garage on a Turbo, have racked up about 1500km in the last 2 months or so.

That included 400km in a long weekend in Tenerife and now getting up to 200-250lm per week.

4 weeks to the Marmotte which should be fun! Just needs to loose a few kg and get down to 76/77kg.

Same here.

536km for the year got a little distracted earlier on with a 22mile charity swim over a month so the bike didn't see the light. However I'm back doing short rides when time allows and am
On track for my annual 1000km. Speed it up as well thanks to the new steed.

1243 miles for me, 42 in the last month since he was born. Have been running a bit more since, 38 miles so far this year. 13 in the last couple of weeks.

I'm down on this time last year but I spent a month in Texas on business followed by a week in France.

I'm hoping I can pick up in the second half of the year, just need the weather to perk up a little, I'm not venturing out in today's wind....

I have had a bit of a funny schedule with work so much of May was off the bike - back on it now though.

Got tendonitis in left knee in Jan, shifted that

Got Burstituts in Right Knee in Feb, took six weeksto st that!

Started to recover well, then got Bronchitis in April!!!

Just found out 4th kid is on the way.....!

In Between all the istus 's I have got 2k miles in this year and did 200 miles last week

I'm never gonna do more than 6-8 thousand miles a year, as I would get too bored, it would be nice to hit 6k miles this year

On the plus I am getting much stronger on the flat, which was always my weakest area , but not so punchy on the climbs, which was my strongest area, although my stats tell me i'm getting more consistent , rather than putting 1200 watts down in one go and then dieing out of breath!

Not great so far, sciatica earlier in the year and recent work commitments and time away.........

Distance 2,613.5 mi
Time 184h 27m
Elev Gain 79,518 ft
Rides 83

Need to be at 3,100 by end of June, in order to do the 6,200 miles for the year. 7,400 last year, so no way of getting to that and not really bothered, just need to keep riding and enjoying it !

Godawful weather this week has kept me off the bikes so far, hoping it'll improve later in the week, i'm gaining weight daily lol

I was bang on target for 7000kms again this year and then the weather hit this week, then it's global conference, then it's Le Mans, then family holiday ....

At least I'll ride a bit on holiday, but by August I reckon I'll be chasing Km's again ...

2990kms ridden
9979m climbed - I live in NL, not known for its hills (just wind)
