Visual aids for presentation - no IT available

Hi all, I'm going for a promotion in work and have to do a presentation on stakeholder management. The content is fine but it says I can use visual aids but no IT will be provided.

I am wondering what, if any, visual aids I should use. So far all I have in mind are handouts but that's a bit boring. On the other hand I don't want to come across like a magician at a children's party.

Any ideas ladies and gentlemen?

Why create multiple handouts - use a flip chart so that they are focused on you rather than looking at something in their hand.

For a promotion I'd be tempted to have my slides professionally printed at a suitable size so they can be seen across the room. Couple that with handouts for after the meeting.

Previous job I had to do a similar presentation to the next level of management and do a public speaking event, both were recorded so the review board could see them.

I guess that might depend on who he's presenting too.

It may be these are people used to having a "management pack" handed to them for their weekly meeting.

E.g. "If you flip to the Red marker for the figures I'm talking about, you'll see the trend for fatal accidents is up. Reasons for this revolve around our beheading the useless policy introduced last week."

Here's the thing, I've no idea who I'm presenting to, or how many. I don't know if a flipchart is available (I won't be taking one on the train to London). It's all a bit of a mystery really.

There's no way of finding out either...you'll be unsurprised to learn that this is a government role...

Ah, just had more info. The presentation is to be done in the style of a sit down meeting with colleagues.

Think I'll take a projector but just use handouts if it's not feasible to use the IT.

Ho about something like this?

You set it up to have 2 sets of slides, one which your audience can see, and the other which is on the reverse so that when you flip it over, you can see it as well without having to be the same side as your audience. It can make them think (assuming they don't see the reverse side) that you know your slides/presentation very well.
