What type of grease is suitable for a steering shaft spline? I am trying to do the repair as described in the service bulletin, but the specific grease seems to have been discontinued by Mazda! What grease would be best for this?

Service bulletin: http://www.6crew.com/files/tsb/06-001-07-1738.pdf

Thanks

I'd use pretty much any old grease for that. Ordinary bearing grease will do fine, it's hardly a technical part.

Bit of Googling suggests that the Mazda 'super grease' might be 'Prothane Super grease'.
Comments are that this is very sticky.
Sounds like it might be similar to Maplin's Servisol Silicone grease which they sell in a tube for about £5. I've just bought a tube, it's clear & it is VERY sticky!

The part number mentioned in that bulletin is still offered for sale by Mazda on Amazon, if you're keen to get exactly the right grease.
