20p v 30p v 50p

All tasted like peas but differed on mushyness.

Now, once you cook them, they tend to go mushy anyway. My recommendation is to to buy one Batchelors and one cheap and mix them together. With enough butter to make it no longer vegetataran and sea salt it still taste damn fine.

The left two are not mushy, and they have a moderately natural colour. Thus rejected.

I like to mix 1 tin of Aldi mushies with a tin of Aldi processed.

Knob of butter, salt and pepper and microwave for a minute or two.

What about the vinegar? It needs lashings of vinegar.

Vinegar? No, no, no, no, no - Mint Sauce.

Mushy peas and mint sauce at Nottingham's Goose Fair is a tradition.

I recently tried various types - favourite was Co-op's own brand. The pricier branded ones tasted a bit like cardboard. All needed salt to be added, in varying quantities.

Bachelor's all the way.

Onion vinegar is all that's needed. No butter etc.

Why the need to put your bogey collection in front of the tins of mushy peas?

Why not just stick exclusively with the Batchelors tins at 50p, instead of devising a way to make the cheaper tins palatable?

Bloody hell, look at the state of the grout. hurl

I can't comment on the comparative merits or otherwise of the mushy peas, I'm not a fan hurl

Each to their own. Enjoy. beer

Seriously though, clean the tiles and grout.
