Came on 2 days ago on start up and didn't go off. The water level is now full.............any ideas why the light has stayed on??

Cheers

Perhaps your filling up needs to be checked by a Porsche qualified technician smile

I'll go with the sensor fault. Is there an easy way to get at it?

Open bonnet; remove battery and plenum covers; unclip the filler neck and slide it toward the battery to remove it. Lift NS of car; take the wheel off; take the wheel arch liner out; undo the bottle securing screws; pull the bottle out from the door towards the brake disc; unplug and disconnect pipes/wires.

The sensor is mounted in the bottle.

(Just to add: I have seen the brake fluid reservoir be mistaken for the washer bottle - when it happens, the factory screenwash sinks and turns the fluid to a crystallized substance!! Much cost ensues......)

Cheers for that. It must be the sensor as the washers work fine.

OK have taken the shroud of and bugger. theres one big bolt securing the top and it appears to be a push in connector at the bottom but how the F do I get the bottle pushed down. Its got a large lip around the top of the filler and I cant for the life of me see how I can push the top down thru a very tight hole.....................help!

OK Edit.

Got a screwdriver behind the bottle and pushed and pulled and it slid of the filler pipe. Eventually got the 2 L connections off. Cleaned up the grommets, put it all back, filled it up and badda bing, it leaked again, I think from where the pump goes into the bottle , so I'm drying it off and will put a dab of sealent around the pump tube and grommet and test again tomorrow when dry!
