So I'm talking about before the times of androids, iPhones, windows phones, samsung galaxys, ...

And more of the 2000s phones like flip phones, communicators, early camera phones, or even the 90s ones with a black and white screen!

I run a samsung A400 as my disposable phone for when there's a high risk of my S6 getting soaked or smashed. It's quite nice to have the odd day with just a phone. Wouldn't like to do it all the time though.

I'm not sure if this qualifies, but I've been using one of these for some years now.

I can phone people, text people, take rubbish photos and it usually wakes me up in the morning, which is all I ask of a phone.

I'm on contract and it usually costs me less than £10 a month! smile

I've been using a cheapie Alcatel phone for 3-4 months now, since my smartphone started playing up. It's OK but I want to go back to something that will do the odd email, satnav and 'net browsing.

It's amusing how the OP defined a classic phone as it appears to me anyone under the age of 30 considers a 5 year old mobile to be ancient.

I still have a Sony W995 that is circa 2007 which is handy to have for festivals/camping weekends etc as the battery life is incredible.

I have a Nokia 3210 in wonderful condition that I was using for a while. Certainly made a change and I found it a good way to remove distractions.

I think these are more the devices the OP was thinking of..

When 2G was new and everyone complaining about coverage, somethings never change..

This one doesn't need a sim as it is an old analogue phone from before GSM existed and you could still hear noise as the signal faded in and out. Modern phones artificially inject noise otherwise it would be silent.

Not necessarily, it depends what he gets for his 10 quid a month - sounds like he's on a sim only contract.
