Places to stop and see on way back to Cherbourg

Appreciate any recommendations as to interesting places to stop and see on way back from Le Mans to Cherbourg on Monday.

Planning on visiting s day Pegasus Bridge, juno, sword landing beaches, gunnery:battlements etc, plus Bayeaux etc.

Appreciate any thoughts.
