Deliveroo - anyone cycle with them?

If so, I have a couple of questions.
I have a road bike - would that be suitable?
Bit of a "how long is a piece of string" question but if I am logged on to the app in the "work area", how likely is it that I would be kept busy for a whole evening etc? Could I realistically be sat waiting around for hours?
What help do they provide with the whole "paying tax" being self employed, if any??

I looked at this following the GCN video on it - worth a look on youtube if you haven't.
Very easy to sign up online, telephone interview follows, you then book a single shift with a supervising rider to make sure you know how to cycle and can use the app.
You're then paid the basic wage at £6/hr where we are and take £1 a delivery plus tips. Good luck hitting the £11,500 limit on that, but if you are, its self-assessment time.
Its surprisingly busy as long as you pick your times. The gear is fun to wear on rides out, especially when out training and overtaking local club riders....

They're obviously not that concderned about lights, I'm yet to see one with an adequate set up. It's just a matter of time before it ends in tears and they have a shake up regards this,
Agreed places like Portsmouth is scattered with risk taking students. I was surprised in Bristol last weekend how many delivery riders ride with zero lights on....
Granted it isn't just deliveroo employees the sun and heat bring everyone out on a bike and last night driving through town I met a couple riding down a one way narrow street no lights who then proceeded to get upset with me as I was driving in the correct direction, had my lights on (obviously) and nearly bowled them over.....
I am now investigating into what driving cams can be used on a electric car.....
For a laugh I'd give this a go with some of my mates but on the other hand talking to my police mates about what has happened to some unfortunate fast food drivers over the years im pleased my dad pursauaded me not to become a Domino's driver...
