What is a good amp to use for outdoor speakers. Id like DAB on it and bluetooth / wireless. Budget about 200 - 350.
thanks.

Im a bit out of touch on hifi these days, how do you connect your phone to the amp via bluetooth or via an app and wireless?

I bought this one from Richer sounds last week for £299. The app is really easy to use and has zone 2, which is what i was after.

How do you connect your phone to it - same as a normal device in bluetooth or do you use wireless and the app? Some of the amps at Richersounds seem to be wireless but not bluetooth.

thanks

Have you considered using a Chromecast audio? You will need to be able to get a wifi signal to the device, but then you can use any amplifier with a line in. You then have Sonos-like features like being able to cast to multiple Chromecast devices, so you could for example have the same music playing on your outdoor speakers as you have inside.

This would be my thought and is pretty much what we have.

Advantages are that a Chromecast Audio is very cheap (about £25) and you can then use any amp and speakers you like. Downside is that the Chromecast Audio is not the most stable thing in the world, but it's getting better with each release of the software.

I've got a version of that amp & on mine you just click it into Bluetooth on the remote & pair it as you would any device. Works great on mine. There's a Yamaha app too which I haven't used but seems to get ok reviews. My habit is just to funnel Spotify through the phone into the amp.

I downloaded the app and put the wifi code on the app and it did it all for me. You can use Bluetooth with the amp also
