Where to go for a couple of Minibuses
Discussion
Morning all, need a little help trying to source a couple of minibuses for a charity of which I'm a trustee.
Key points/requirements:
1 x 17 seater minibus
1 x 17 seater minibus with an electric wheelchair ramp
Both need A/C and parking sensors and given location need to be Euro 6 for Sadiq's emissions issues so I've been looking new. Signwriting isn't an issue as of yet and both buses would be standard and would be used for regular, (short) town driving (no petrol minibuses from the looks of things so stuck with diesel) so would be low mileage. For prudence my costings assume a 9 year lifespan for each minibus although I'd hope for a little more!
I've found some Peugeot Boxer based buses, which seem to be keenly priced and higher spec than needed (only way to get A/C), both coming in a little over £50k are they any good? Are they reliable? - we need to keep below the 4.25T weight limit too so some trannys are excluded (well that and cost!)
Does anybody know of any other recommended base vehicles or suppliers I can approach for some other quotes? Also time pressured to an extent so happy to look at nearly new (euro 6) or pre-reg's as we'd need them by September ideally.

You will struggle to get a 17 seat minibus under 4.25 tonnes with a wheelchair ramp. 17 people will weigh around 1.5 of those tonnes... or 2 tonnes if they are all built like me.
There are going to be a few around maybe, check eBay etc, but otherwise, check with some vehicle hire places. We used Close Brothers and Automania for our minibuses at Heathrow so they might be able to help?

Thanks for that, will give them a look now.
