True but they do a good job when you have a big acreage and they keep bushes, trees etc in good order. Saves people a job so they earn their keep.

Goat meat is lovely too.

My father kept them for 40+ yrs and had as many as 50 at any one time...my sister has got a dozen or so pygmy goats at the moment.

I only drink goats milk even now and happy to eat the meat but have to "kid" other members of the family that it is lamb.

On more than one occasions my father would sell a couple of goats only to have them returned (without repayment) due to them eating everything apart from the grass despite have being told this would happen biggrin

When I was growing up someone down our road thought it would be a good idea to get a goat to eat the grass.....it was delivered to their garden whilst they were at work. The amount of devastation it caused in the 3 hours it was left alone was incredibly impressive. Needless to say the grass wasn't touched biggrin
