I was driving my car today with the impending 50k miles turn over on the clock, look what happened.
Is there an easy fix for this?
Ironically, I was in the way to RT Racing to discuss chassis recon when it happened! :rollers:

Not unknown problem with any mechanical mileometer it may free off if you keep driving it otherwise needs stripping and probably cleaning
Mine is stuck on 72000 will be trying to sort next week

It is said that a good thump on the top of the dash whilst driving can fix it.
Or
Driving hard in reverse is perhaps another option.

The option you do not want is sending it to Speedy Cables as they don't seem to know the meaning of the first word.

Great advice, thanks. I was thinking about using a 'birmingham screw driver' myself! smash

My odometer failed a while back, no amount of dash banging, reverse driving or preying to the TVR gods would fix it. They all seem to fail over time.

Mine went to Speedy cables, at the time they quoted a 6 week return they did a good job refurbishing the speedo that was back in 2014 and a few thousand miles ago.

Happens to me every time I rollover a 1,000 miles. Giving the dash a few sharp hits with my hands always works. But for best results it should be done while driving at 30mph+

Mine stuck on 70, 80 and 90,000, but by far the worst was 100,000. That stuck for about 1,500 miles
