Teaching assistant wouldn't let daughter go to the toilet
Discussion
Hi, just after a bit of advice.
My daughter 6 year 2, says that the TA took the class yesterday and that 5 minutes after lunch she needed a wee. She said she asked and was told no and that she should have gone at lunch. The TA made her wait all afternoon despite asking 3 more times and explaining that holding her wee was giving her stomach ache. My little girl said she was bouncing up and down and had to keep her legs crossed. They don't have an afternoon break so she had to hold on for 2 hours.
Should I speak to her regular teacher

If you move it to the Lounge you will get some good advice, and some nonsense. My daughter 6 year 2, says that the TA took the class yesterday and that 5 minutes after lunch she needed a wee. The TA made her wait all afternoon despite asking 3 more times and explaining that holding her wee was giving her stomach ache. Lol someone beat me to it.
That's a proper odd first post.
Giving the OP the benefit of the doubt as lurker who decided to register to ask...
Many will scoff at this issue and we've had similar threads in the past. "Back in my day we had one pee a week and only when instructed" etc etc. I can tell you from experience, making children hold their pee like this can and does cause bilateral hydronephrosis. You're looking at very major surgery, a 14" incision, removal of the rib(s), then removal of the kidney to rebuild and replace. Several months to get back up and walking, then decades of pain, dozens more surgeries, then kidney failure.
Ask me how I know...
It may be trivialised by many, but have murder with the teacher, and the head if necessary. Making children hold their bladder in this way - especially for hours - can be very damaging to health, and permanently so.

Don't get these "MX5" posts
Does this mean I shouldn't be driving one? A farmer did shout "are you a w
ker" at me the other day
Was it an insult, an observation or poor grammar? Were you looking, somewhat lustily, at a farm animal?

MX5 in isolation indicates it is the preferable car, had you the choice between that and a Nissan Micra.

Give the OP a break, a noob would not know that GG is for car related stuff.
At least wait until someone has at least three posts before taking the piss.
Indeed, but Pistonheads is inherently a car related website with forum. The sub-forums are used by members who originally joined to talk about cars. No matter whether you post in the photography, animals or computing sub-forums, most of us share a passion for cars. The OP could have at least mentioned his or her garage! :PAt least wait until someone has at least three posts before taking the piss.
Which genius mod moved this to the lounge? Now the poor OP can't even reply to it, although that does mean it's funnier for the rest of us.
My serious bit. She had just been for lunch, go to the toilet at that point. Teacher was teaching. Your daughter now knows to plan more than 5 minutes ahead.
