Addicted to researching a new car
Discussion
I have a fast and fun Alfa GTV and last year I got a Giulietta as commuting a lot each day (100miles).
I have something fun and practical but still find myself on this site reading about other people's cars then on to auto trader, I spend so much time and thinking if I should swap my car(s).
Sometimes I feel like something larger to fit bikes in easily, other times a comfortable barge for the motorway commute (readers thread and barges thread encourage that) but then will hear a nice sounding car and think I should keep the GTV or get a different sports car.
Do others feel they are always looking for their next car....and why is this? Will any car stop it.

The condition is not curable as far as I know. There are support groups for sufferers, but I see you've already discovered the largest.
The only (temporary) solution I can recommend is to buy a car on a long waiting list. The excitement that builds when you wait ages for delivery is really the only thing I've found that beats choosing a car in the first place.

It's trending #AddictedtoAutoTrader
It's a real problem...whatever car I have I'm always on there searching for something of interest as a toy...
<£1000 >3.0L Petrol
<£1500 MX-5 (Potential Track Toy)
....the list goes on and on and on
I'm a virtual tyre kicker, never actually go and view them, just like to look.

I was thinking this, thank god their are others!
Oh yes. Current daily is perfect for the long commute. But could be cheaper. Cheaper wouldn't have Xenons.
Maybe a hybrid. But the choice there is very limited.
Found a nice one, but even more pricey than the current daily.
The previous car was good and cheap.
But not as nice as current daily.
I go to work to earn, not spend on the commuter car.
But a long commute, so a nice car makes it easier.
Current daily a bit flash for some, maybe I should get a Skoda...
But the DSG has mixed reviews.
A nice torque converter... But I already have one... And so it goes.
Not to start on the suspension comfort vs sportiness...
Forgot to add. In many cars the roof doesn't go down in nice weather... Maybe a convertible... But they're mainly 2 seaters, the occasional use of 4 seats would be good...
And off if goes.
The more I know different models the more indecisive I am, resorting to doing nothing or buying the previous model yet again.

Was investing a hybrid just this afternoon and now going to look at a Mercedes ML as hybrid may not be great for the motorway but the ......
