Ive currently got 3 cars, one being a daily car, the other a track car (in the making) and the other is a car Ive always wanted.
First ive got my Audi a4 avant, its a 1.9tdi and its done 170k. Its not exactly exciting but it does the job of being a economical daily commuter, also a good car for the dog.
I've also got a 2002 Civic Type R, which i absolutely love! I've owned it for nearly 4 years (the longest ive owned one) its in the making to become a track car. No major changes just no interior, one bucket seat and custom 3 inch exhaust. Hoping to be doing track days in july/august.
The third car I own is an Integra dc5. Its one of my dream cars and it was a bit of an impulse buy to be honest, it was local at a decent price and its immaculate. Ive only owned it for 2 months and only really use it once a week.
So my dilemma is, do I sell the dc5 and the audi to fund getting a s4 avant, theyre around the same price as the dc5 and it would be a good daily car etc. Then have a fun daily thats also practical?

I've never even sat in a civic or an integra, but from everything I'm always hearing on the internet, I'd have imagined the integra would be greatly more worth hanging on to than the civic, and would make a good track car without modifying anything.
So I'd say, keep the integra, sell the civic and buy whatever boring audi you want whenever you get around to being able to afford it.

The Integra is an amazing car, it just needs a few tweeks not massive ones though. Just going to keep all three and run the a4 until it dies!
Good plan. If I were braver, I'd maybe look to pick up an Integra!Tomm1992 said:

Driving a rubbish car during the week makes you appreciate the toys so much more
I kind of find the opposite if I am honest, although I will admit I live in rural Scotland so my commute is mainly B-road. If I take my wee 4x4 to work during the summer I am constantly thinking 'I could pass here', 'I could've made that light with a bit of Oomph' etc etc, But never commit as my offroader isn't exactly as agile as my mx5. Where as in winter it is a literal life saver, no worries about slowing down for floodwater, getting stuck when our enevitable year blizzard happens & being able to bump kerbs and ditches without a second thought.
OP: If you sell your dream car you will regret it, imo either lop the passat and put up with slightly higher commuting costs, or put the Civic back together for sale and use the intact Integra as a slightly less optimised track car.
