Came back from work early today. Went for a nap.
I dreamt I woke up, checked my phone and I had a text message from my wife (???) and I "opened" it and it said "Have you taken the fish out of the freezer"
For some reason I woke up with a start!
Then i checked my phone and there was no text message. WTF?

Had two really weird ones last night. In the first, I was overseeing the building of my own suspension bridge in Stockport? Got stuck underground, clambered over a barrier, fell...and woke up on the floor.
In dream 2, I was on the back of a Honda C90, pillion to Father Ted, who was being chased on foot by a furious Father Jack.
I blame the heat - or a brain issue.

I got my wording incorrect, sorry. I meant a WTF to the whole thing. The dream was so vivid I actually double checked my phone OK.
Another WTF one was when I dreamt a whole journey to Heathrow in a Ford Focus that was supposedly mine. Like I even dreamt the reg number and all!!!! (obviously the journey was inaccurate but sums up my petrolhead tendencies)
Mine isn't as much dream related but i do weird things in my sleep.

When i woke up in the morning i could faintly remember this happening thinking it must have been a dream. Nope open my web browser and bang there is the google page with whatever time in the middle of i checked.

I keep having a couple of recurring dreams. First is there's some kind of emergency or urgent situation and I whip out my phone to dial the emergency services only no matter how hard and carefully I try I keep dialling the wrong number and it causes a heap of stress.
Second is i'm driving a car and I need to stop suddenly only my foot keeps slipping off the brake or I suddenly go weak and can't press it enough to stop the car.
I looked into it and apparently it means I don't feel i'm in control of my life.

2 That really stick out. First was me and my best mate as 'The Professionals' i.e. Bodie and Doyle. Diving through windows, chasing Bad Guys in a Capri, the lot. So vivid it was like watching a film I was in!!
Second was dreaming that aliens had landed. Benevolent Aliens, peace loving, clean energy etc. Walked downstairs, straight into the patio doors, finally outside looking skyward expecting spaceships, to be so disappointed when I realised it was a dream!!

For years I've had the recurring "brakes failing" dream. It's always in the same car though; the first company motor I ever ordered from new, RE53 DCZ BMW 320d ES in Mystic Blue.
Quite often I'll be standing on the brake as I head into a wall/over a cliff/towards a sharp bend on a country lane then wake up covered in sweat with my right foot jammed into the mattress. Not had it for a while but recently had a promotion so got new things to deal with and no doubt my brain will throw the old dream back at me whenever it's cool enough to get a decent night's kip!

Last night I had a dream that whilst walking back from the pub I was accosted by a young lady who was very distressed, after speaking with her it turned out she had a sausage roll growing under the skin on her shoulder and needed to go to hospital, however she couldn't because the person she shared the house with locked the door at 11:30pm and left the key in so nobody else could get back in the house.
The room mate wasn't answering their phone and was at work (as a chef) until later so I helped her make a sign asking for access to be granted.

I don't get this dream anymore, but a few years back I used to dream repeatedly that I was in the little strip of land between the side of my house and the fence, trying to cut down the weeds and brambles that would grow there. Not my favourite job. While clearing the vegetation away, I notice a door I have never seen before. With a shove from my shoulder I open it and find myself in an old fashioned deserted kitchen, Edwardian style cabinets, butler sink, even a few old pots and pans hanging up. But everywhere covered in dust and cobwebs and even a pidgeon nesting by a broken window pane. I go through a door on the other side and there are more rooms, equally abandoned, and gradually a whole house opens up to explore. All the while I am wondering how all this fits into my own house as I can't understand where the space can be. Eventually I am in a large and complicated roof space, with dormer windows, completely fitted out with bookshelves, and there is a whole library of old and valuable books, but covered in cobwebs, dried out and very fragile to open. Then it ends.

Had the braking dream before and more than once. One time I was home and my parents still have the bunk beds in the spare room so I sleep there. I tried to brake so hard I woke to find my foot through the wooden beam.
I always write my dreams down, mainly because in a years time I'll read them back and go WTF was that all about! Last night I dreamt I was in my flat, along with some work people and I was fixing an issue remotely for them (I'm IT). Once fixed I'm outside on my own apart from riot police and armored Land Rovers. I was able to push them away like I could use the force. I've dreamt I've gone fishing with my cousin and used sticks of TNT. Also dreamt about scenarios in work, almost as if my subconscious is working it out so I have more options if it comes up. Few days later the dream is "broken" and bit of it come true.

I occasionally have short, weird dreams that are like clips of random crazy stuff. One that sticks out is where I was in the kitchen of a house that I used to live in when a guy on a trials bike came wheelieing though the kitchen, out though the patio doors and into a puddle in the middle of the back lawn that turned out to be so deep that he disappeared!
