Buying from Eastern Europe

I’m quite interested in getting a VAZ 2102 as a bit of a project.

Buying from one of the Eastern Bloc countries would probably give me a bigger choice, but I’ve no real idea how to go about it. Looking for some advice.

Anyone who has done it care to comment?
Any recommendation where to start looking (easier from any one particular country)?
Websites to search in a chosen country?

Are you looking for a Lada? I think that's UAZ, so go on this website: https://hasznaltauto.hu . And start looking, people are honest when selling their vehicles in there, but they don't all speak English. Make sure you don't buy from a gypsy though, if you arrive and the guy is darker than he should be: Walk, i mean RUN


This for EG: Cheap, no rust and original parts, he is selling it for project.

I'm very much just at planning stage. I need to decide if I pay more & buy one I think will drive back, hire a transporter ( I assume the Lada will be ok weight wise but need to check), or pay someone to get it here.

I also have a car to get rid of, but I think I'm close to a deal on that.

I may take you up on the offer of help though if you are still around and willing when I finally decide.
