Upgrade Downgrade or lateral move

Thinking of changing family hack - just looking for some pointers

Current Fleet :

Audi S6 (5.2 V10) - like the power and comfort
Ariel Atom 245 - staying

My thoughts are...

Mercedes S Class 350 15/16 35k
Lexus GS 450h 14/15 <25k
Mercedes E63 13/14 35k

7 Series of out of budget

Want something comfortable as the Audi rides pretty hard

If you want comfort I would go with the Lexus LS over the GS, not that the GS is bad just that the LS is better at that role, will have a higher spec and should come with air. I would expect the Lexus to be the most reliable and thus cheapest to run for repairs/servicing cost out of that lot as well. It isn't going to be a marvel on B roads but the 600 doesn't want for power on A roads and Motorways.

Test drove the S350 - what a lovely place to sit and surprisingly quick for its size and it doesn't even sound like a diesel !

It eats speed bumps for breakfast
