Any north of the border PH'ers frequent this section?

I love Thai stuff but he wife not so much. I'm looking to turn her to my way of thinking!

So, if i can convince her that it's the best place available i reckon that will help.

I've been to Chaophayra and it was OK and the place was stunning to look at. I've been to the one in the Rotunda as well but forget the name.

Thoughts?

How rude! The real ones would be sharing pictures of pizza crunches, fritters that could supply enough oil to run your average car and of course that famous Glasgow staple the steak pie supper. Who would have thought you can deep fry a steak pie.

If you're in the Merchant City then Bar Soba does great Thai food. They have West End and City centre locations too.

Thairrific is worth a go and highly rated but it's not as good as Chaophraya in my opinion.

If you fancy Vietnamese instead then the food at The Hanoi Bike Shop is amazing

I've not actually had Thai food here yet.

I can back up the Hanoi Bike Club for Vietnamese, their Pho is amazing.

Also Ramen Dayo is good for Ramen. Their website says they're on Queen St but it might be worth calling to check as I think they were planning on moving again.

If the Thai Orchid on Argyle St is still there it's good, lived in the new block next to it for a while,

I've never been but I know people who rave about http://www.thailemongrass.net/glasgow/

Been there for years and is up near Chinatown if that's any indication of authenticity.

We went here but weren't overly impressed. Well at least the wife wasn't.

Its not even that far up, its on Renfrew St across from Cineworld. Ive eaten there and in the sister restaurant in Edinburgh, both were excellent.

I eat in Bar Soba fairly frequently also and see its been recommended, completely different but a good shout also.

Hated the Rotunda (Yen), just seemed like plastic menu get them in and out quick before the show at the SECC/Hydro type experience!
