Taking a photo of an image wrapped around a cylinder...

OK, so not quite a cylinder, but it's the same principle.

Has anyone got any thoughts on how I go about taking a photo or photos of a tattoo on my leg, it wraps around from the blade of my shin to the back of my calf, so can't be captured in one shot.

I'm no stranger to photoshop, but can't quite work out how best to do it!

Any thoughts gratefully received, cheers.

put camera on tripod put dot on floor
stand on dot
rotate leg 8 times at 45 degrees
try photoshop stitch?

Short video as a GIF might be more realistic, wouldn't want it to look as if you've been skinned for the artwork.
