Anyone seen this?

I watched it last night, and I can't remember the last time a film had me jumping half out of my skin, and hiding behind the cushions like the great jessie I probably am.

Makes the ring look like a disney film

Is the original japanese version exactly the same in terms of story?

I jumped out of my skin plenty of times too, it was very scary! Right from the start when the girl goes up into the atic Not everyone agreed, but I was well chuffed with the fright per pound investment in that DVD

Yup - I watched it and have to admit to having a bit of a disturbed nights sleep that night!

Great film - I love that Ring style of horror - very effective! The way it came down the stairs near the end

Yep, The Grudge freaked me out big time. In fact, I only saw about 2/3 of the film because I was covering my eyes for the rest of it!

Off to see Ring 2 later this week...

Yep, fantastic film scared me silly and as for the missus...
Much fun was had that evening by me making the "noise" and her screaming then realising and punching me

Jumped more to that film than to all others put together. Superb movie!

Yep.. this was scary as Sh*t... the original japanese ring (ringu I think) was much scarier.. a bit too scary for me I have to admit...

I have to say, my wife started making that noise after the film, I threatened divorce if she didn't cease and desist immediately (she didn't )

still makes the hairs on my neck stand on end when I think of that noise, and the bloody cat one!

Freaky the way it creeps up under the sheets. Much better than The Ring.

Oh my god yes. That was horrible. I thought it was a known fact that monsters can't get you when you're in bed.

Yes, I too liked this film a lot, a lot of scares, and a good untypical hollywood ending too, unlike Ring2 which I watched last night, not half as good as the first, and 4 times as bad as the Grudge!

My Sister watched 'The Ring' in the cinema, then, when she was sat in the restaurant afterwards with some friends, my Brother sent her a text message 'Seven days'

I don't know. I like my films and much as the Japanese horror remakes scare me, I enjoy them in that way.
