The same to some extent here in the US. The left wing Democrats try to push every possible entitlement through so as to "addict" their voters and have a built in voting bloc (it's working). This happens in every country, so much so that I believe these left wingers are not associated with a particular nationality but are actually a widespread "species".

Should we also talk about the deliberate policy of Labour councils, all over the country, in the decades before that of buying up private housing to turn it into council housing for their own electoral purposes.

Not to say it has not happened the other way on occassion; but alas, we are talking amateurs versus the Jedi masters!

Jimbeaux, didn't Jeb Bush have thousands of low-income people struck-off the electoral role in Florida under the pretext that their names were similar to those of convicted felons ?
This "mistake" would not have been apparent until poling day, when it would have been too late to correct ?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Jebi a raving, gibbering, right-wing Republican ?

Its common practice for BOTH parties in the US.

Actually the names struck were
1) Duplicates
2) Deceased persons
3) People who were registered in their home state and vacationed in Florida
So to answer your question, he simply enforced a law of one LIVE person, one vote.....imagine that!
