Right gents, opinions please. On a 15k max budget what's the options out there. Looking for something that is an everyday car but will give a bit fun at the weekends, by fun I mean something that's going to give a bit of a spirited drive. It doesn't need to be a tarmac shredder possibly around the 200-250 horse mark. Probably no older than 2010, don't want estates or convertibles. Can be a coupe or saloon,
Fiestas/Audi TT are slightly smaller than I'd like but the latter would be considered. At the minute the MK3 focus ST is fairly high up the list, Iv had a look at Audi S3, c class AMG mercs and BMW 3.0l msports, anything else to add to the list??
As it's a daily driver I'd don't really want anything mega thirsty or that's costs £500 a year to tax.
So what's your opinions on it?

You might be thinking of the MK2 5 cylinder engine. I've done 50,000 since new in my march 2015 MK3 and have averaged 34.3 mpg. I dont think thats too shabby for a car that spends a lot of time in overtaking lanes.

Elise? Or are you defo wanting coupe/saloon only? (Love coupes myself)
To small mate, it's a daily hack with a bit of fun thrown in. It's not a weekend toy. Need to be able to get the kids and the messages/golf clubs in it aswell.

That's fairly decent, I like the Focus, ticks a lot of the boxes

BMW m135i, you could just about get one for that budget.

Others I'd look at would be Audi TTS, previous shape S3, Megane RS265, Previous shape Golf R.

If it was my money I'd probably go for an m135i out of all of that.

I'd be tempted by an S4 - great car, bit of extra space and packs a punch. Relatively thirsty though. Love the Focus ST though, probably the best you'll get for what you need. Mini JCW/ Cooper S, new models are a decent size also.
