Condenser Damage on 997 Turbo - Covered under warranty?

Hi folks
The AC on my 2007 997 Turbo has stopped working. The local OPC looked at it and believed that one of the condensors is damaged (think there are two??). They said they can remove the bumper and check, but it is likely a stone has gone through and it would not be covered under the Porsche warranty (circa £700). Looking online it seems that this is a regular issue. Has anyone successfully claimed under the warranty, as it seems like a design fault!?
For reference the car has done 32000 miles and bought from Porsche directly 12mths and 1500 miles ago, so a little disappointed.

My windscreen took a hit from a big stone this afternoon. It's badly cracked right in my line of vision and will have to be replaced. My local OPC says they see this quite frequently. This seems a bad design fault, I wonder will I be able to claim under the screen manufacturers or perhaps the vehicle manufacturers warranty ?
Not familar with the precise setup for the 997, if anything like the 996, it may be corrosion due to crud accumulating between the rads and the condensers. Very common. If so, replace BOTH condensers, they are not even that expensive if not purchased from an OPC, and pretty diyable excluding regassing of course. And replace the receiver/dryer too, again inexpensive and found on a zillion other cars. Prevention is fitment of black mesh behind the bumper grilles (well, that's what I did, I don't like any blingy chrome ahead of them)

It's a 10 year old car and the condensers are vulnerable to stone damage and corrosion so don't be too disappointed. Do replace both.The AC on my 2007 997 Turbo has stopped working. There was no stone damage but they had started to leak, claim was initially refused but accepted after I complained.
